Overcoming Fear of Family's Rejection and Believing for God's Healing Touch

I rejoice because the Pentecostal experience with believers is well and alive
in our church. My husband and I Pastor in a small community among many
Hispanic families. To many, to enter an Evangelical or Pentecostal church will
cause them to be shunned by family and friends; therefore I was surprised to
see a family that I knew that were loyal to their church sitting on the 2nd
pew of our church. I knew immediately that they must have had a very special
need to have entered our church.

After I preached and made the altar call, everyone came to the altar and no one seemed to have stayed in the pews. I immediately began to pray and intercede for all the families. When I opened my eyes and looked to where the people were standing, I saw a retired Missionary praying for this couple. Then a sister asked me to pray for the man. I only stood in front of him, lifted my hand and without touching him said in Spanish, There is power in the name of Jesus! The man let out the loudest cry and began to shake from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. This scared his wife and she embraced him to keep him from shaking. The man then opened his eyes and looked at me with what I thought was, What was that? I am fine! I said, Brother, lift your hands, thank the Lord and bless Him because He has met your need! He did as I told him and once again began to cry out, but with joy!

After church he informed me they were on their way to the ER because he had been ill for 6 months with headaches and black outs and unable to work, yet MRI'S could not disclose a problem. Needless to say, this young husband and father was saved and healed. He has not missed any church services. His family and friends are happy for him and have not shunned him.

Praise the Lord!
